Liaise with plant disciplines and functions regarding critical spare requirements Owners requirements specifications (ORSs) and maintenance contract scope of work requirements. 3.7 Compile, review and update ORSs, Critical capital spares specifications and maintenance contracts scope of work. 3.8 Coordinate approval and submission of ORSs, Critical capital spares specifications and maintenance contracts scope of work. 3.9 Provides expertise in the principles of root cause analysis (RCA) and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM). 3.10 Analyze plant and equipment failures to determine root cause and Recommend solution(s) to prevent recurrence. 3.11 Provide support to the plant as and when required. 3.12 Provide and maintain a safe work environment without risk to the health of Personnel. 3.13 Carry-out audits as required. Qualifications and Experience Qualifications & Experience: • NTC 6 (Electrical/Instrumentation) • Red Seal Trade Test Certificate • Valid Code 8/B vehicle drivers licence • 3-5 Years’ experience as an Artisan • 1-2 Years’ experience/exposure post Diploma as a Technician OR • T3/S4 National Diploma. (Electrical/Instrumentation). • Valid Code 8/B Vehicle Drivers Licence • 2-3 Years as a technician in a plant with electronic control systems. • . Successfully completed Transnet Technician in Training program (for internal candidates) Competencies Knowledge required: • Programmable Logic Controllers (Plc’s), • Variable Speed Drives (VSD’s) • Weighing Equipment • HT. Equipment. • Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) • Computerised control systems • Human Relations • Fault finding on electrical and electronic equipment • Changes on electrical and electronic circuitry • OSH ACT • NRCS Standards • SANS Standards.
