REF: HCLS06 ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT PURPOSE OF THE JOB The role of Administrative Assistant will play an important role in organising, managing, and keeping the Legal Services Division running. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for all clerical and organisational tasks like file organising, scheduling appointments, assisting other staff members, and drafting correspondences. KEY DELIVERABLES • Provide legal services as required by the organisation. • Assist in the provision of proactive legal advice and support to all the NLC’s operation. • Research and, interpret the law for practical application to business issues • Prepare briefing files. • Assist in drafting of organisational policies. • Draft and review contracts in line with the NLC’s regulatory framework. • Assist with Legal Risk Management. • Maintain an accurate and updated filing and document management system. • Knowledge of applicable laws applicable in public entities (e.g. PFMA, PPPFA, Treasury Regulations, PAIA, PAJA, POPIA, etc) COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
