CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER All-inclusive SMS remuneration package: R 1 232 289 per annum Ref: No: ITAC 5/2024 Requirements: Relevant degree in Information Communication Technologies. 5 years practical experience of which 3 years’ must be at managerial level. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure. Relevant professional and technical expertise. Understanding of ICT Systems, ICT Management, network security, and experience in desktop support based on the Microsoft suite products. Networking and business relationship building skills. Results orientated. Strong leadership skills. Ability to interpret and communicate complex information, technology, policies, practice, and procedures. Knowledge of key software development tools. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the planning and implementation of Enterprise Information and Communication Technology systems in support of ITAC’s operations to improve cost effectiveness and service quality. Manage and implement ICT Infrastructure for ITAC. Design and implement information technology processes and systems that would maximise the achievement of ITAC business strategy. Manage the coordination and development of ICT systems. Manage partnership with SITA and/or other service providers. Manage and coordinate the procurement requirements for information technology for ITAC. Provide strategic direction for the unit and ensure development of effective IT Systems, compliance, norms and standards. Manage application system changes and provide security of information. Monitor all ITAC computer systems to ensure operation reliability. Establish and enforce all computer standards and procedures to include system integrity and security standards and procedures. Provide training and assistance in all ITAC units in the use of hardware and software and perform system analysis for all ITAC systems. Oversee ITAC inventory of its capital investment in information technology tools and systems. Recommended candidates will be subjected to competency assessments and reference checks. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure. Relevant professional and technical expertise. Knowledge of the International trade law, National Growth Path, Trade Policy and Strategic framework, Industrial Policy and World Trade Organisation (WTO) agreements Key Responsibilities: The successful applicant will be required to: Manage and oversee the trade remedies instruments through investigation of alleged dumping, subsidised imports, and a surge of imports into the SACU, in accordance with domestic legislation and consistent with WTO Rules. Provide Strategic direction to the unit and inspire team to deliver on organisational mandate. Review of trade remedies policy, regulations, guidelines, and practise in compliance with various legislations. Provide leadership, manage, and monitor trade remedies instruments. Plan, manage and monitor resources of the unit to deliver the desired outputs and outcomes. Manage and provide inputs into the trade negotiations pertaining to trade remedies. Provide leadership, manage, and monitor the preparation of position papers on topics emanating from trade remedies investigations. Contribute to financial management of ITAC and management of other resources. Participate in various ITAC governance structures.
