EASTERN CAPE GAMBLING AND BETTING BOARD (ECGBB) The Eastern Cape Gambling Board (“the Board”) is a statutory body established for the purposes of regulating gambling activities in the Eastern Cape Province. The Board is located in the scenic coastal city of East London. MANAGER – AUDIT & COMPLIANCE DIVISION: GAMBLING REGULATION &CONSUMER PROTECTION TOTAL COST TO COMPANY PACKAGE: R1 185 002 PER ANNUM Requirements: • Postgraduate qualification in Auditing/Accounting plus completed articles •A Compliance Management qualification will be an added advantage •At least 3 years post articles experience • 3 years management experience •Experience in the regulatory or compliance management environment •A valid Code B/EB Driver’s License. Competencies and Skills: • Knowledge of applicable regulatory legislation and regulations e.g. FICA, POPIA, Companies Act, Income Tax Laws, etc • Advanced Computer literacy • Advanced report writing skills • Meticulous with attention to detail •High level of decision making. Key Performance Areas: Guide and direct ECGB Audit, Inspection and Public Education sub-programmes •Review and quality control of audit and inspection reports •Monitor compliance barometer• In conjunction with the Finance Department, co- ordinate the ECGB revenue generation• Manage and ensure quality and reliability of Gambling Regulation System records •Guide the development and implementation of the Responsible Gambling Strategy and Implementation Plan. In conjunction with the audit, inspections and public education sub programmes, compile annual performance plans, operational plans and budget for the sub programmes • Implement public education and awareness programmes on legal and illegal gambling •Develop, maintain and review relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures •Ensure compliance with the Eastern Cape Gambling Act and other legislation• Analyse, manage and review division risk register on a quarterly basis •Provide performance reports for the Board sub-committees on a quarterly basis.
